This course provides students with an overview of the diverse career opportunities in food and lodging services. Students will develop a personal educational preparation and career plan. Topics include food service operations, management basics, and the hotel and lodging industry. The course also covers aspects of hospitality management, such as business structures and operations, human resources, and workplace safety. Students may be awarded 4 high school elective credits if they complete and pass all course assignments and requirements. Four high school elective credits may be awarded if a student passes the course with a minimum grade of 70%.
